Cilantro Lime Guacamole with Endive Leaves
I am on page 15 of my final project for the course I am taking; fatigue seems to be creeping up with every page I rough out. This afternoon I have been battling my weariness by fueling my body and brain with homemade Guac and Endive leaves. I know, I know, it is old news that snacking is important to a healthy lifestyle. It was the late 90’s when Robin Kanarek and Davic Swinney (1999) published their findings on how the performance of college students was improved by adding a caloric snack in the mid-afternoon. The study carefully reiterates it is a caloric snack that the body needs. This means that diet pops or caffeine laden energy drinks aren’t sufficient substitutes. This is just a little food for thought next time you are thinking of foregoing a snack to save a little time. It is worth it to schedule in a little munch because your productivity will increase and your metabolism will love you for it. Now I best take my own advice and plunder on through the remainder of this assignment :)
